The managing director of Wilderness Point Investments, RoAnn Costin invests in early and expansion-stage companies through her private equity business. Dedicated to sharing her business expertise, RoAnn Costin served on the board of directors of several retail companies, including Sarah Flint. She was an initial investor in the show company and helped it grow from wholesale to celebrity.
Designed to inspire, Sarah Flint's shoes combine enduring styles with high-quality comfort. Appealing to big-name celebrities, like Blake Lively and Meghan Markle, the footwear collection inspires multiple areas worldwide. For her Fall/Winter 202 collection, Sarah Flint looked at the famous Newby Hall Estate in Yorkshire, England. She is now focusing on Avignon, France, for the Fall/Winter 2021 line.
The shows in this season’s collection highlight the French countryside in autumn. Flint incorporated warm colors styled with ornate prints and filigree metalwork, capturing the air of fresh pastries, bustling antique markets, and patterns couches. She found La Mirande, a boutique hotel in Avignon, particularly interesting. Styled with unique textiles and antiques, the hotel is centuries old and features filigree detailing and ornate cornice work that spoke to Flint as she designed this season’s line.
In the hotel, guests find many fabrics from Pierre Frey, resulting in Flint collaborating with Pierre Frey. This collaboration resulted in two signature prints from the company being scaled down for hair accessories and shoes from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection.
